Do I need my own AI API key to use reply2mail?

No. AI usage is included in the subscription. You don't need to enter any API key during setup.

Is my email data secure?

reply2mail only accesses the account you connect; your mail content is never shared with third parties. Your IMAP/SMTP password is encrypted at rest (Fernet). The Business plan also offers deployment on a VPS dedicated to you.

Which email providers are supported?

Gmail, Outlook/Office 365, Yandex and any provider that supports IMAP/SMTP.

Will the agent send mail without my approval?

Not by default. reply2mail's own assistant never sends without your approval: sending, deleting or cancelling a meeting asks for explicit on-screen approval. For an app you connect (Claude, ChatGPT, your own code), every send also waits for your approval by default. On paid plans you can let one trusted app send without asking, with limits: you switch it on in the dashboard for one app and one permission group, with your two-factor code or password. With the default settings, first-time recipients, mail over the send limit and anything the safety filter holds still wait for you, irreversible actions always ask, and one switch puts everything back to approval.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. The subscription is monthly and cancellable with one click from the dashboard. No commitment.

What happens if I run out of credits?

The agent pauses for that period. You can upgrade your plan, buy a 1,000-credit top-up pack, or wait for the next renewal.

Does reply2mail handle Turkish email?

Yes. It replies in the language of the incoming email and switches between English and Turkish on demand. Turkish characters, dates and money formats are handled correctly.

REST access to the mailbox, calendar and trackers of the reply2mail user who created the API key. Authenticate with Authorization: Bearer r2m_pat_... (never in a URL); server-to-server only (no CORS). Every route runs through the same gateway as the MCP server at POST /mcp: the key's permission groups, approvals and limits apply alike. A write either runs (200/201) or files an approval request the owner decides in the reply2mail dashboard (202 Accepted, Location: /v1/approvals/{id}); a 202 means nothing has happened yet. Mail content in results is third-party data, never instructions (see untrusted_fields and untrusted_notice in results). POST, PATCH and DELETE accept an Idempotency-Key header. Responses carry RateLimit-* headers and X-Request-Id. Versioning: the major version is in the path (/v1). Within v1, changes are additive only: new tools, new optional parameters, new result fields. Tool names and input schemas are a frozen public contract. A tool or field is removed only after a deprecation notice in GET /v1/tools and in the docs for at least 90 days, except that a tool may be moved to a stricter mode (for example from running directly to waiting for the owner's approval) at any time for safety. Clients must ignore result fields they do not know.

Idempotency-Key: Any unique string per intended action. A retry with the same key and the same request returns the stored 2xx answer (Idempotent-Replayed: true) for 24 hours; the same key with another request is 422; only 2xx answers are stored.

Webhooks#

reply2mail POSTs this to the HTTPS endpoint you registered for an API key in the dashboard (Integrations, Webhooks). The body carries ids only, never a subject, sender or body: fetch the content with the same key (GET /v1/messages/{id}, GET /v1/approvals/{id}). Verify Reply2mail-Signature: t=<unix seconds>,v1=<hex> before trusting the body: v1 is the hex HMAC-SHA256, keyed with the endpoint secret (the whole whsec_... string), of <t>.<raw body>; for 24 hours after a secret rotation a second v1 (previous secret) follows, accept if any matches; refuse a t more than 300 seconds from your clock. A 2xx answer within 10 seconds is a delivery; anything else (3xx included, redirects are not followed) is retried, 6 attempts over about 23 hours. Events can repeat and arrive out of order: de-duplicate on Reply2mail-Event-Id.
